first full-length solo album, featuring many of my older songs
that have never been released, and also a few new ones written
just for the album (tracks 1, 3, and 6). the actual cd includes
liner notes with lyrics and the rest of the album artwork

genius began as a solo project around january 2002. i had
started to write some songs for an album i wanted to produce.
the idea sort of died a few months later until brian hirt
and i started jamming together. eventually we sought out someone
who could play bass and adam morath joined us for a show in
my basement. naturally i decided we should record an album,
which we did during the summer of 2002. this was also recorded
in my basement; although, poorly i might add. in august cj
hanna did his best to mix the mediocre recording, yielding
this album.
