over a year after agreeing to film a music video for zero
dependence, my friends' band, they finally finished
recording their new full-length album, spin. though
the album is not yet available, this is the video for one
of the songs on it and will be included on the enhanced cd.
(note, this is the shortest song on the cd and we are currently
in the process of working on another video for a longer song.)

in 2002, after much writing, pre-production work, and four
scenes filmed, i abandoned my film project, not about
girls. in 2003, brian hirt resurrected the script and
adapted it to a stop motion film with legos after being inspired
by nate mikula's stop motion work.

all the comedic moments that happened while filming a more
serious movie. this video is also proof that while paul can
lengthen the filming time for any scene, he can also provide
many entertaining outtakes.

the waters of babel
:: [02/23/04] :: |

the longest production for any film i have ever made - most
of it procrastination, but a lot of real effort, too. filming
began in december 2002 and everything was completely edited
by december 2003. it may not live up to the production duration,
but of every film i've been involved in this one has become
one of my favorites by far.
synopsis: after the mysterious, tragic murder of his wife,
frank sutherland becomes haunted by fear and an unknown "darkness."
he longs to know the cause of the murder so he can put his
mind at rest. but does frank posess enough power to overcome
what he can't see, or is his outcome an inevitable plummet
of despair?
